Crypto-jacking is the process of illegally using someone else’s computer to mine or collect Bitcoin or other types of cryptocurrencies. The practice of illegally collecting cryptocurrencies is currently on the rise as the price of the asset is falling, according to Palo Alto Networks. So, to reduce costs associated with mining, hackers resort to crypto-jacking.
