    Nizam of Hyderabad and his minister Salar jung ,Holkar of Indore , Sindhia of Gwaliar and his minister Dinkar Rao , Begam of Bhopal , Raja of Patiala and many  rulers of Rajputana remained loyal to Brirtish during the revolt of 1857.

    Educated Indians did not support the revolt.

    Kunwar singh   was the important  leader of revolt .He was the former Zamidar of Jagdishpur ( Bihar).
