The First Maratha war ended with Treaty of Salbai.

The Treaty of Salbai was signed in 1782.

It was proposed by the sindhia, to be signed between the English (under Warren Hastings) and the Marathas(under the peshwa).

The main provisions of this treaty were

• Salsette would remain under the possession of the English.

• English should enjoy all the trade benefits as before

• The whole of the territory conquered since the treaty of Purandar in 1776 should be restored to the Marathas

Treaty of Seringpatnam was signed after third Anglo –Mysore war.

Treaty of Madras was signed after first Anglo – Mysore war.
