Every year national level multidisciplinary grass root level games are conducted under Khelo India Youth Games event.

• The games include two categories namely under-17-year school students and under-21-year college student.
• Under the event, annual scholarship of Rs 5,00,000 is given for 1000 kids to prepare them for international sporting events.
• The event is to be held in 20 disciplines. All the 37 states and union territories are to participate in the event.
• The first edition was launched in 2018, the event was held in New Delhi, second edition in Pune and the third edition is to be held in Guwahati, Assam.
• The state of Haryana considered the “Sports Powerhouse” topped the sport event in 2018.

Training of Trainers Programme (TOT)

• Under the programme, around 160 trainers are trained. The programme is carried out semi-annually.
• It includes principals, teachers and physical education trainers. The programme is also a part of Khelo India project.
