The NHP highlights substantial health information under major indicators viz. demographic indicators (population and vital statistics), socio-economic indicators (education, employment, housing and amenities, drinking water and sanitation) and health status indicators (incidence and prevalence of common communicable and non-communicable diseases and RCH) etc. Statement 1 is not correct: National Health Profile (NHP) is an annual publication of the Central Bureau of Health Intelligence (CBHI). The first release of the annual publication was in 2005. It covers all the major information on Demography, Socio-Economic Status, Disease Morbidity & Mortality, Healthcare Finance, Human Resources in Health and Healthcare Infrastructure. NHP is an initiative which is at par with international standards of data publications. The government has recently released the 14th National Health Profile. Central Bureau of Health Intelligence (CBHI), established in 1961 by the Act of Parliament on the recommendation of Mudaliar committee, is the Health Intelligence Wing under Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW). Statement 2 is correct: The life expectancy had increased from 49.7 years in 1970-75 to 68.3 years in 2011-15. For the same period, life expectancy for females is 70 years and 66.9 years for males. So there has been an increase in life expectancy in general, and females are expected to live longer. Statement 3 is not correct: Arunachal Pradesh has reported the lowest population density at 17 persons per square kilometre, while Delhi has the highest at 11320.
