One of the decisions that followed was to establish the National Investigation Agency to investigate and unmask terrorism and all its places of origin.  
As the central counter terrorism law enforcement agency in India, NIA has investigated about 250 cases since its formation.
After submission of charge sheets, 37 cases have been finally or partially decided in trial.  
Of these, 35 cases have ended in conviction, giving NIA a conviction percentage of 91.3%.
Recently, the NIA also hosted the first counter-terrorism exercise for the "Quad" countries -- India, the US, Japan and Australia.
