Uttar Pradesh government has launched a dedicated web portal and a mobile application, named as ‘e-Ganna’, for sugarcane farmers of the state.
The sugar mills will now issue the cane supply slip to farmers online. The step is to ensure that sugarcane farming becomes a profitable venture for farmers.
Besides ensuring transparency in the process of getting slips, the web and portal will also facilitate sugarcane supply by farmers to mills and check irregularities.
