The era of the ten gurus of Sikhism spans nearly 300 years, from the birth of Nanak Dev in 1469, through the life of Guru Gobind Singh. Guru Angad Dev ji. Shri. Guru Amar Das. Shri. Guru Ramdas. Shri. Guru Arjan Dev ji. Shri. Guru Hargobind ji. Shri. Guru Har Rai ji. Shri. Guru Harkrishan ji. Shri. Guru Tegh Bahadur ji. Shri. Guru Gobind Singh ji. Shri. Guru Granth Sahib ji. The Adi Granth, the first rendition, was compiled by the fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan(1563–1606). Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, did not add any of his own hymns; however, he added all 115 hymns of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, to the Adi Granth and affirmed the text as his successor.
