Statement 1 is incorrect as the Constitution only envisages that a judge of a Supreme Court can be removed from office by the President and on the recommendation of the Parliament. The Judges Enquiry Act 1968 regulates the procedure relating to the removal of a judge of the Supreme Court by the process of impeachment.. The ground for removal are two- proved misbehaviour or incapacity.
