China celebrated its 70th anniversary of the Communist rule on 1st October 2019. 

A massive military parade - the largest in modern Chinese history - was held in the heart of the power centre, the Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Seen as a display of China's military might, the parade showcased the country's most advanced weaponry, including ballistic missiles and warplanes. Addressing the country on its National Day, President Xi Jinping emphasised unity, development and strength.
