India has set a target to reach 35000 crore annually in defence exports by 2025. According to the official data the value of defence exports increased to 10745 crore in 2018-19 from 4682 crore in 2017-18 . This figure was just 1521 crore in 2016-17 . For this year the target has been set at 15000 crore rupees out of which 3471 crore has been achieved till 31st July .
