Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two day state visit to Russia on Wednesday. He will participate in the 5th Eastern Economic Forum as the chief guest and hold 20th India Russia Annual Summit with President Putin in Russian city Vladivostok. In addition to signing pacts in several key areas India and Russia are also expected to firm up a roadmap for deeper cooperation in oil and gas sector in terms on exploration, exploitation and purchase. Both leaders are also expected to discuss a number of key regional issues including Afghan peace process and situation in the gulf region.
