The milestone reflects a 4000% growth in solar power and aligns with India’s Paris Agreement goals ahead of schedule.

Solar energy capacity has surged nearly 4000% in the past decade, while solar module manufacturing rose 38 times and cell production increased 21 times.
A Rs.1 lakh crore R&D fund was launched to support innovation in energy storage technologies including battery, hybrid, and pumped hydro solutions.
Goyal emphasized reducing reliance on select foreign markets by strengthening domestic supply chains and boosting EV charging infrastructure.
India showcased its carbon-neutral initiatives such as Palli village in J&K and the sustainable Yashobhoomi venue with solar rooftops and eco-waste systems.
