Union Cabinet has approved Brucellosis control programme, a new scheme, to control Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Brucellosis to support the livestock rearing farmers and improve the health of animals. Cabinet has approved a total outlay of Rs.13,343 crores for the scheme and entire cost will be borne by the Central Government. Earlier the cost was shared by both Central and State Governments. Hence option 2nd is correct.
