First national government to pass an Environment and Climate Emergency

UK Parliament has declared a national declaration of an Environment and Climate Emergency. The UK is the first national government to declare such an emergency.
The declaration was preceded by a visit by teenage activist Greta Thunberg (to the Parliament), the feature of David Attenborough’s documentary movie titled ‘Climate Change: The Facts’ and the 11-days of constant protest by an environmental group ‘Extinction Rebellion‘.
