A team from Northwestern University has developed the most realistic, highest-resolution 3D simulation of star formation to date.
Named as STARFORGE (Star Formation in Gaseous Environments), it is the first framework to simulate an entire gas cloud, where the stars are born. It is also the first simulation to simultaneously model star formation, evolution and dynamics.
