New Delhi-based Laser Science and Technology Centre, a laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organization, has developed an ultra violet (UV) disinfection tower named ‘UV blaster’ in collaboration with a private firm based in Gurgaon.
This equipment is used for disinfection of surfaces like electronic equipment, computers and other gadgets in laboratories, which could not be disinfected with traditional chemical methods. This could also be installed in places where large number of people gather including malls, hotels and offices.
