Amir Khusrau was a Sufi musician, poet, and scholar in medieval India. He was an iconic figure in the cultural history of India. He was a prolific classical poet associated with the royal courts of more than seven rulers of the Delhi Sultanate. He wrote Tarkh-i-Alai, which contains the details of the first few years of Sultan Alauddin Khilji.
The Tarikh-i-Mubarakshahi by Yahiya Bin Ahmad Bin Abdullah Sirhindi was written originally into Persian. The present book is a translation of the original Persian work by H. Beveridge.
Al- Biruni is the author of tarikh ul –hind.
Gulbadan Begum took the challenge and produced a document titled Ahwal Humayun Padshah Jamah Kardom Gulbadan Begum bint Babur Padshah amma Akbar Padshah. It came to be known as Humayun-nama. Gulbadan wrote in simple Persian, without the erudite language used by better-known writers.
