Environmental Kuznets curve
a semi-circle curve suggesting increase in per-capita income increases the pollution.
a U-shaped curve suggesting the level of development and carbon emission.
suggest a U-shaped relationship between the carbon emission and Ozone layer depletion.
suggest a bell-shaped relationship between the concentration of certain pollution emission and per-capita real GDP.
The Environmental Kuznets curve shows the relationship between economic progress and environmental degradation through time as an economy progresses. It describes that as countries develop initially, pollution increases. But later, as the economy achieves further development, pollution decreases. It is represented as inverted U shaped curve. Hence option 4th is correct.

The first option suggests the same thing. In fact, it is more accurate because it mentions pollution in general, while the last option says ‘certain emissions’, which isn’t the purpose of the environmental Kuznetsk curve.
