The English obstructed the expansion of the kingdom of Ranjit Singh at several places’ but theydid not interfere in :Sindh
Sindh
Cis-Sutlej States
Firozepur
Kashmir
- Sindh (Options 1 & 2): The English were cautious about Sindh due to its strategic location and trade routes. However, they had their eyes on it because of the possible Russian expansion. They did not overly obstruct Ranjit Singh here, as he had not actively sought expansion in this region during his reign.
- Cis-Sutlej States (Option 3): These states lay to the south of the Sutlej River and were a point of contention since the British wanted to prevent Ranjit Singh’s influence here. They were under British protection to counter his expansion efforts.
- Firozepur (Option 4): This was a strategic location close to the Sutlej River, and the British ensured they kept control. They interfered to limit Ranjit Singh's influence in this area.
- Kashmir: The English did not interfere in Ranjit Singh's affairs with Kashmir. His expansion and subsequent control over the region weren't opposed by the British.
