As least 14 days notice in writing in the form of resolution for impeachment of the President should be duly signed by
Not less than half the members of the House present in the session
Not less than half of the total number of members of the House
Not less than one-fourth of the total number of members of the House which prefers a charge for such impeachment
More than one-fourth of the total number of members of the House
Constitution of India provides the process of impeachment of the President on the ground of “violation of the Constitution.” The Article specifically provides that the charge shall be made by either House of Parliament. Such charge is contained in the resolution. The resolution shall be made only after providing at least 14 days written notice signed by not less 1/4th of the total members of the House. The resolution must be passed by 2/3rd of the total number of members of the both the Houses. The President then stand removed from his office on which the resolution is so passed.? Hence option 3rd is correct.
