If a Governor acts as the Governor of more than one State:
His salary is paid by the Central Government
His salary is paid by the State where his headquarter is located
He gets one and a half time his normal salary
His salary is shared by the concerned State in equal proportion
Article 153 of the Indian Constitution says that there shall be a governor for each state. Also, Article 153 (6) says that- Since it may be desirable in certain circumstances to appoint a Governor for two or more States, it is proposed to add a proviso to this article to remove any possible technical bar to such an appointment. This was added by the 7th Constitutional Amendment Act of 1956. However, his salary is shared by the concerned State in equal proportion Hence option 4th is correct.
