According to the report of the L M Singhvi Committee on the Indian diaspora, in 2001 there were 50 countries including NRIs who are already Indian citizens. The other 14 specified countries are: Australia, Cyprus, Finland, France,Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Sweden,and Switzerland.
