Difference in number of carbon bonds

Difference in their electronic configurations

Difference in the size of their crystals

Difference in the intensity of their respective intermolecular forces

Diamond is bonded to 4 Carbon atoms, whereas, Graphite is bonded to 3 Carbon atoms.
