The part of blood that carries digested food is plasma. Our blood has 55% liquid component called as blood plasma. The intestines remove all the nutrients from our food and are absorbed through the intestinal walls. Through this blood plasma digested food absorbed primarily by stomach walls and then by intestinal lining and then goes into blood plasma which is then carried into the other parts of organs/tissues/cells, where it is needed.
