The Right to Freedom of Religion granted by the Indian Constitution implies that the Indian citizens:
Are free to have faith in a religion other than the state religion.
Have to follow the religion of the state.
Have the freedom to profess, practise or propagate a religion of their choice.
Not having faith in some religion shall not be appointed to government offices.
Right to Freedom of religion under Indian Constitution The right to “Freedom of religion” is embodied under articles 25 to 28 of the constitution of India. Various rights which constitute the rights to have religious freedom are- Freedom of conscience and right to freely profess, practice and propagate religion (Article 25). Right to religious denominations to manage religious affairs (Article 26).
