A meeting between External Affairs Minsters of India, Brazil and South Africa met in Pretoria, South Africa.

• The outcome of the meeting was titled as IBSA Declaration on South-South Cooperation that called for greater understanding of development cooperation as a common endeavour of the global south.
• IBSA is tripartite group which supports promotion of cooperation in various fields between these three important poles of south-south cooperation.

The India–Brazil–South Africa (IBSA) forum was formalised in June 2003 through the adoption of the Brasilia Declaration based on the spirit of South–South solidarity.
