The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has launched national campaign named, ‘The Eat Right Movement’ to improve public health and combat lifestyle diseases.

• It is voluntary and collaborative movement built on two broad pillars – “Eat Healthy and “Eat Safe”.
• It is collective effort to encourage people towards making right food and dietary choices. It focuses on both sides- demand and supply side to come together.

About FSSAI: Food Safety and Standards Authority of India is a nodal statutory agency responsible for protecting and promoting public health in India through regulation and supervision of food safety. It is an autonomous body under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and does not function under any dedicated department of the ministry, rather as an autonomous body.
