Shakti is India’s first indigenous microprocessor being developed by IIT Madras.

• It shall reduce the dependency on imported microchips and risk of cyber-attacks
• It was fabricated in ISRO’s Semi-Conductor Laboratory at Chandigarh.

Parashakti is the advanced microprocessor for supercomputers on which researchers from IIT Madras are presently working after developing Shakti microprocessor.

Microprocessor are brain of all computing and electronic devices and are used to operate larger high-speed systems and supercomputers.
