The first informal summit between the PM of India and Chinese President Xi Jinping was held in Wuhan.

• The purpose of the meeting was to exchange views on overarching issues of bilateral and global importance and to elaborate their respective visions and priorities for national development in the context of current and future international situation.
• Indian side pressed upon people-to-people contact through STRENGTH that stands for Spirituality, Tradition Trade and Technology, Relationships, Entertainment, Nature Conservation, Games, Tourism and Health & Healing.
• Chinese President Xi held that two countries should stand for multi-polar world order and globalisation.
