Pritzker Prize: Pritzker prize is an international prize established by Chicago’s Pritzker family in 1979. It is one of the world’s premier architecture prize and often referred to as ‘Nobel Prize of Architecture’. It is an annual prize and has a cash prize of $100,000 and a bronze medallion. Some of the famous winners of this prize are Zaha Hadid, Frank Gehry, IM Pei and Shigeru Ban. The prize was in news recently because this year legendary Indain architect Balkrishna Doshi has been awarded with the prize for him being a pioneer in low-cost housing design.
Oscars 2018 or 90th Academy Awards: The 90th Academy awards also known as Oscars were given this week. The award presented in 24 categories by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The ‘Shape of Water’ has won the most number of awards, 4 at the ceremony. Frances McDormand and Gary Oldman have been awarded best actress and actor award respectively.
