The ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit was held in New Delhi to celebrate 25 years of India-ASEAN relationship.

• The theme for the event was ‘Shared Values, Common Destiny’.
• The 10 countries of ASEAN can be remembered using an acronym – BPL TV MIMCS – that stands for Brunei, Philippines, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia and Singapore.
• ASEAN was formed in 1967 as part of Bangkok Declaration or ASEAN Declaration.
• Its headquarters or secretariat is located in Jakartaa, Indonesia.

India-ASEAN Delhi Delcaration: The Delhi Declaration was singed as part of India-ASEAN Commemorative Summit with focus on strengthening relations, counter terrorism, strengthening cyber-security, mitigating transnational crimes and establishing political and security cooperation besides boosting economic ties, physical and digital connectivity enhancement, cooperation in maritime sector and collaboration in peaceful exploitation of outer space.
