National Youth Festival: The 22nd National Youth Festival was recently held in New Delhi. The festival is celebrated to recognize the birth day of Swami Vivekananda, the youth icon of India. It was organized by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The first National Youth Festival was held in 1995 in Bhopal. The theme of the festival for the year 2017 is ‘Sankalp se Siddhi’. It seeks to capitalize on demographic dividend of country’s youth and also capture vibrancy and fresh perspective of youth and to pledge to accomplish goal of New India.
Dharma-Dhamma Conference: The 4th International Dharma-Dhamma Conference was held in Rajgir in Nalanda District, Bihar. It was organized as part of commemorative events to celebrate Silver Jubilee (25 years) of ASEAN-India Dialogue Partnership. The conference was aimed to facilitate cross pollination of ideas and foster harmony at global level.
