Pluto Mountains named after Norgay and Hillary: The International Astronomical Union has named two mountain ranges on dwarf planet Pluto as Tenzing Montes and Hillary Montes after Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary. Norgay, an Indian-Nepali Sherpa, and Edmund Hillary, New Zealander mountaineer, were the first to reach the summit of Mount Everest and return safely in 1953.
