The Home Ministry will soon grant citizenship rights to nearly 1 lakh Chakma and Hajong refugees who came from erstwhile East Pakistan five decades ago.

• Chakma and Hajongs were origninally residents of Chittagong Hill Tracts in erstwhile East Pakistan.
• Chakmas are Buddhist by faith and Hajongs are Hindus.
