Achal Kumar Joti: Ak Joti has been appointed as the new Chief Election Commissioner replacing Nasim Zaidi. He is 21st Chief Election Commissioner. He is retired IAS officer from Gujarat Cadre. It is to be noted that Chief Election Commissioner is appointed for a period of 6 years or 65 years of age whichever is earlier.
