TOP Scheme: TOP is an acronym for Target Olympic Podium. The TOP Scheme has been formulated by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports within the overall ambit of National Sports Development Fund (NSDF). The scheme intends to identify and support potential medal prospects for 2020 Olympic Games. The selected athletes will be provided financial assistance for their customised training at Institutes. For shortlisting the candidates, a TOP Committee had been constituted under the chairmanship of Abhinav Bindra with members being Anil Khanna, Prakash Padukone, Karnam Malleshwari, PT Usha and Murlidhar Raja, Anjali Bhagwat, Rekha Yadav, Dr SS Roy and Inder Dhamija. Task Force for 2020, 2024 and 2028 Olympics: On the initiative of PM Narendra Modi, a task force of 8 individuals will be created to prepare action plan for next three Olympic Games. The members of the task force include: Pulella Gopichand, Abhinav Bindra, Rajesh Kalra, Om Pathak, Viren Rasquinah, S. Baldev Singh, Prof GL Khanna and Sandeep Pradhan. Administrators to run BCCI: The Supreme Court has appointed former CAG Vinod Rai as the head of four-member Committee of Administrators to run Board of Control for Cricket in India – BCCI. The other members on the committee are: historian Ramchandra Guha, former Indian Women’s cricket team captain Diana Edulji and managing director of IDFC Ltd Vikram Limaye. They will run BCCI till the Lodha Committee reforms are fully implemented
