January 10 every year is observed as World Hindi Day.

• On this day missions abroad as well as Department of Official Language (Rajbhasha) organise events to spread information about greatness of the language.
• Fiji besides India has adopted Hindi as its official language.
• Hindi is the 4th most spoken language in the world.
