Knighthood: Knighthood is one of the highest civilian award in the British Honour System. The people awarded Knighthood are entitled with title ‘Sir’ before their name. Recently, Indian origin British Chemistry Professor Sir Shankar Balasubramanian was awarded the Knighthood.
Bhartiya Jananpith Navlekhan Award: The award was constituted in 2006 and given by Bhartiya Jnanpith Trust. It is given only in Hindi to new young authors for their first creations. It consists of a Goddess Saraswati Statue, a citation besides a cash prize and Jnanpith Publishing the awarded works.
