Shankar Balasubramanian: He is Indian Origin British Professor of Chemistry and DNA expert at Cambridge University. He was recently awarded the Knighthood by Queen Elizabeth II. He is co-inventor of the Next Generation DNA Sequencing which is also known as Solexa Sequencing.
General Bipin Rawat: General Bipin Rawat has taken over the charge as the new Chief-of-Army Staff. He succeeds the retiring and outgoing General Dalbir Singh Suhag. His appointment goes against the principle of seniority as he supersedes two of his seniors to become the Chief-of-Army Staff.
