Best MSME Bank Award: The Corporation Bank has bagged the Best MSME Bank Award 2016 instituted by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

Turner Prize: Helen Marten has won the Turner Prize 2016. Marten uses sculpture, screen printing and writing to create her work. Prize money: £25,000

TIME Magazine Person of the Year: Time Magazine named US President-elect Donald Trump its person of the year 2016.Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has won the magazine's online readers' poll for Person of the Year 2016.

First Indian to win a medal at Mr Olympia: Iqbal Sayed has become the first Indian to win a medal at the Mr Olympia amateur event held in Hong Kong. He has won a silver medal in the event beating participants from 20 countries to finish second in the Olympia Amateur Asia 2016’s Classic Bodybuilding category.

Ballon d’Or award: Cristiano Ronaldo has won Ballon d’Or award for 2016 . He has won this award for the fourth time. Ronaldo is now one short of his Barcelona rival Lionel Messi’s record tally of five.

ITF Players of the Year: Andy Murray was named ITF player of the year in Men’s category. Angelique Kerber was named ITF player of the year in Women’s category. Kerber becomes the first German to win the award since Steffi Graf claimed the last of her seven in 1996.
