Renowned Journalist-author Fatima R Zakaria passes away at 85

Padma Shri winning renowned journalist Fatima Rafiq Zakaria, has passed away due to Covid. She was 85.
Besides this, Ms Zakaria was also an academician.
She was the chairman of Maulana Azad Educational Trust and Khairul Islam Trust Mumbai.
Ms Zakaria was also the executive vice-chairman of the Board of Governors of the Trust’s Institute of Hotel Management which is run in collaboration with the Taj Group of Hotels.
She was awarded the Padma Shri in recognition of her work in education in 2006.
