Harsh V Shringla: India’s Chief G20 Coordinator

For the G20 summit, which will be hosted in 2023 by India, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla has been appointed as its chief coordinator.

Overview:

Shringla will be retiring on 30^th April 2022 and will take charge of this new role from 1^st
This role has been newly created by the government to organize the summit.
The G20 sherpa will remain to be Piyush Goyal, the Indian Commerce Minister.
