As per Section 7(7) of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, against the order passed by the Controlling Authority, an appeal lies before the Appellate Authority and for that limitation prescribed is of 60 days and the Appellate Authority C/SCA/1303/2021 ORDER has power to condone delay of 60 more days on canvassing sufficient cause before it and the Appellate Authority is not empowered to condone the delay beyond the period of 60 days after the initial period of 60 days gets over [120 days in all].
