World Food Safety Day

The World Food Safety Day is celebrated every year on June 7 to remind people of the need to have safer and healthy food for disease-free life.
Theme 2021: ‘Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow’.
The day was declared by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2018.
The first World Food Safety Day (WFSD) was held on 7 June 2019.
WFSD aims to draw attention and inspire action to help prevent, detect and manage foodborne risks, contributing to food security, human health, economic prosperity, agriculture, market access, tourism and sustainable development.
