Correct option 1: If the question can be answered by using one of the statements alone, but cannot be answered using the other statement alone.
Solution
This gives us only the selling price (SP = Rs. 120 for 100 eggs).
But no cost price (CP) is given, so we cannot calculate the profit or profit percentage.
**Statement I alone is not sufficient.
This gives us a relationship between CP and SP, i.e.:
CP = 2/3SP
Profit percentage = (SP- CP) / CP x100
So, even without the actual SP value, we get a definite profit percentage.
Statement II alone is sufficient.
Hence, Final answer 1. If the question can be answered by using one of the statements alone, but cannot be answered using the other statement alone.
