One of your colleagues, who is from financially weak background is preparing for UPSC exam and is taking frequent leaves. He happens to be your best friend as well. You want to support him but the burden of your work has become unmanageable on account of his absence. You are working in critical area of health outreach and his absence is hurting the program. In situation like this you will:

Bluntly tell your friend to either quit job or start working

Talk to your other teammates and apprise them of situation and take action in consensus

Tell your friend not to take leave and help him in his studies

Highlight the situation to your boss and hold the meeting with him and boss to find a solution
