The Indian hockey team will face Malaysia in its opening match of the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2024, scheduled in Rajgir, Bihar, from November 11 to 20.

• All matches in the eighth edition of the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy will be played at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium.
• The Indian women’s hockey team won the tournament back in 2016 and also reclaimed the title last year in Ranchi, beating Japan in the final.
• This year’s Asian hockey championships will see six teams - the People’s Republic of China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, Malaysia and Thailand - compete for the title.
• India will face Malaysia in the first match on November 11 before facing Korea the next day.
