                  Speed = (60x5/18)m/sec = 50/3m/sec
                  
                     Time = 1 minute =60sec
               
                     Let the length of the platform be x meters.
               
                  Then, (600 + x)/60 = 50/3
           
                       3(600+x)  =3000
           
                      1800+3x = 1200
            
                       3x= 1200
              
                     x= 400 metres
