Venkaiah Naidu Launches Bharatiya Poshan Anthem

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has launched the Bharatiya Poshan Anthem.
The anthem has been conceptualised by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
It has been written by noted lyricist Prasoon Joshi and sung by Shankar Mahadevan.
The POSHAN (PM’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nourishment) Abhiyan was launched in March 2018 by Prime Minister of India.
The Poshan Abhiyan or National Nutrition Mission was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India malnutrition free by 2022 by ensuring holistic development and adequate nutrition for pregnant women, mothers and children.
The goal of Poshan Abhiyaan is to achieve improvement in nutritional status of Children (0-6 years) and Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers (PW&LM) in a time bound manner in next three-year period beginning 2017-18.
